John L. Brennan, partner, previously President of Bank of America’s Illinois operation and Central Region President of its Private Bank, is head of Private Wealth Management at William Blair & Company. The unit focuses on ultra-affluent private investors, families, and entrepreneurs to provide innovative and sophisticated wealth management solutions. John’s 24-year career in financial services includes significant leadership positions in corporate and commercial banking, strategic planning, corporate marketing, and wealth management. In his most recent wealth management role, he oversaw teams in as many as 15 states, 700 associates, and $52 billion in assets. John has been an active member of the community, including his current appointments as vice chairman of the Chicago Public Library Foundation, treasurer of WTTW 11, Rush University Medical Center trustee, DePaul University Trustee and a member of the Archdiocese of Chicago Finance Council.
